Dussehra marks the onset of Diwali. As the video explains:
"God Ram and goddess Sita maintained the Balance of Yin & Yang upon earth. The Emerald Tablet: The Voice of Silence, link provided below, narrated the powers of Ram, who possessed the Tantric Power of God Shiva within him, thru the Divine process of IDDHI (the difference between Iddhi and Siddhi is elucidated in The Amethyst Tablet, link below), was all powerful with the presence of goddess Sita beside him. Together the two created the Shuniya - the Zero Point Energy of the Blue creative Light of God (refer to The Blue Sapphire Tablet of the BLue Ray, link provided below).
Now, with earth playing the Duality Game there had to exist the Dark with the Light and so - Raavan was the Dark, living in Sri Lanka. He seeked completion in power and sought goddess Sita thru whom and with whom he would become as powerful as Lord Ram was. And so he kidnapped Sita from India and brought her to his home in Sri Lanka (which was then also a part of Bharat or India).
Ram was distraught! He was suddenly left incomplete and of course he was eagerly ready to battle the Dark to win back his Twin. However, his powers were reduced by his Love being torn away from him.
This is all symbolic in order for humanity to understand the Power that lies in LOVE or in being Shuniya - the Zero Point Energy of Completeness. If any human on earth desires God-Filled Power within, all he needs to do is become Shuniya - the Zero Point Energy. This energy is LOVE. You don't need another half from the outside to complete you. It will not! You need to raise both halves from within, and unite them - you then become ANDROGYNOUS. Androgynous is the quality quintessentially required for Ascension. An Androgynous being is an Ascended Master.
And so, Goddess DURGE MAHA MATA (the Twin goddess aspect of Lord Shiva) came to Lord Rams's rescue and added Her Goddess Power to his god power to make him a complete Tantric Force of Lord Shiva - the Shuniya - the Zero Point Energy - to fight the mighty battle with the Dark and be Victorious and, restore the Balance of Yin Yang upon earth.
The video above, illustrates eloquently how Maha Mata Goddess Durga transmits Her SHAKTI into Lord Ram. This was possible only because, Ram had already attained Iddhi thru Self-Mastery and was equipped with the Wisdom, the Will, the Protection - the infrastructure to hold Goddess Durga's Shakti with purity grace and honour.
Lord Ram thereafter honourably battles the Evil and wins back his Twin - goddess Sita

This is the Celebration known as
DUSSEHRA

for Her SHAKTI
that destroyed the evil"
And now, Lord Ram was united, once again, with his goddess energy of Sita. This led to a big Celebration, where DURGE MA was honoured for Her Powers that led to the victorious destruction of Duality, that which produces evil! So, Shakti and Destruction of Evil was celebrated thru an event, which we know as DUSSEHRA.
After this, Ram and Sita travel back to India. Their 14 years of vanvas, ostracization from his kingdom, was complete and on the following Amavasya (Moonless night that precedes the New Moon) they enter Ayodhya - the Kingdom of Ram. Which is what we celebrate as DIWALI!
DIWALI is a Festival of Lights. Because, all of the Kingdom of Ram was lit up with diyas, candles, lights, fire to welcome back their King of all Kings - the AVATAR of GOD VISHNU!
And SITA - the AVATAR of MAHA MA LAKSHMI!
Goddess DURGE and Goddess LAKSHMI are the Shakti aspects of SHIVA & VISHNU - becoming One PARBRAHMA!
